Rankings hold two tables, airlines and pilots, over 7 days, 30 days, the season or all time. They have no formula of their own: the numbers come from your flights, and the only way up is to fly.
What counts
- Accepted reports only. A rejected report, a ferry and a free flight count nowhere.
- An airline is ranked on its pilots' flights. NPC fleet flights do not count: their volume is shown as a separate line under the airline's figure and is not added to it.
- The house airline AirVirtua is unranked, since it flies around the clock on subsidy. Its volume sits under the table as a benchmark.
- The rank next to a pilot's name comes from career-long XP, while the XP column counts the chosen period alone. So a captain may sit below a cadet who flew more this month.
- Positions update with a delay: a report that has just been accepted reaches the table within a few minutes. The ▲▼ arrow shows how the position changed over the week.
Who is not shown
- Switched visibility in rankings off in your privacy settings? Then you are not in the table, the feed or on the seasonal podium.
- A guest who is not signed in sees no pilot table, and airline money figures are hidden: profit and fleet value.
The flight score, the pilot quality rating, rank and an airline's reputation at an airport each come from their own mechanics. The leaderboard awards nothing, it only compares results over a period.
World news
World news comes out as a newspaper: one issue a day, the latest on top, with a jump to any date in the header. Its headlines also run in the ticker in the top bar, and the “Header ticker” section of the view menu sets how many of them to mix in. You can respond to accidents and pilot photo stories, and notes signed “From the editors” are the Air Virtua team announcing something new in the game.
